Man sieht an dieser Übersicht über die question tags Folgendes:
- Positive Aussagen mit Hilfsverben ( he is, she has got, we can…) werden in verneinter Frageform wiederholt: He is nice, isn’t he? — He has got a bike, hasn’t he? — Luke can play football, can’t he?
- Bei positiven Aussagen mit Vollverben werden die entsprechenden Formen von “do” in verneinten Fragen verwendet: You speak German, don’t you? — His grandparents speak Polish, don’t they? — You did your homework, didn’t you?
- Vorsicht bei “have“, das ohne Zusatz als Vollverb verwendet wird: The Elliotts have a lot of fun, don’t they? (Dagegen wird es bei “have got” als Hilfswerb verwendet: Holly has got a sister, hasn’t she?) Dieser Unterschied ist bei Testen eine beliebte Fragestellung.
- Bei negativen Aussagen werden question tags in positiver Frageform gebildet:
